Sacramento Republic's independent supporters' group is called the "Tower Bridge Battalion" - and they get their name from the vertical lift bridge in the middle of the city. A group of supporters who occupy a specific section of the home stadium, they are known for coordinating chants and yelling consistently throughout matches. The Battalion are renowned for using megaphones and loud drums during a match and, whenever a Republic player scores at the home ground, it is customary that they run to the section with the Tower Bridge supporters with their teammates in order to celebrate with them.
