Fabricio Coloccini was back to his best and shut a lot of the doubters (myself included) right up! It's hard to describe the captain's performance because it was so uncharacteristic compared to what we have seen over the last couple of seasons. He put his body in front of everything. Everything. Colo led from the front and marshalled a backline that restricted Man Utd to only a few clear cut chances - the rest of their efforts were either scrappy ones or from a longer range. As well as showing more bravery than he has over the last couple of seasons put together, he also showed that class we all really knew was still in there on a number of one-on-one occasions. Let's hope he can keep this up for the majority of the season. If he can, and stays clear of any injury, there won't be any real need for United to buy another centre back this summer.
