11. Newcastle's Squad Is A Strong One (When Most Are Available)
A few eyebrows were raised and even more cheeks were puffed out when Steve McClaren's team for the game at Old Trafford was announced. Not only because during his pre-match interview the former England boss said that he wanted his players to "have a go" - and then actually back that up with an attacking line up - but because of the bench that he was able to name. Karl Darlow and Mike Williamson aside, it couldn't fail to make your mouth water. Cheick Tiote, Siem de Jong, Rolando Aarons, Florian Thauvin, and Papiss Cisse shows that Newcastle's squad is full of promise and quality and equal measure. Although behind there that is very little and also proves that Newcastle could do with a couple more reinforcements before the window shuts.
