4. Calum Chambers

A graduate of that special (and by "special", we mean expensive) Southampton academy class of 2012 alongside Luke Shaw - who himself came perilously close to inclusion on this list - Calum Chambers has seen his career stall since moving to the Emirates in 2014.

This is because of a combination of injuries, being shunted around the back four like a less effective Phil Neville and, of course, Arsene Wenger, who - for a man famed for nurturing young players - has presided over a horrible record of nurturing youngsters since the days of Cesc Fabregas (a decade ago).

At 22, Chambers mustn't be written off just yet, but there are glaring weaknesses in his game - namely that he lacks the pace to play at full-back, yet appears frequently to struggle when deployed through the middle.
