14 Players To Represent Both Newcastle And West Ham

5. Kieron Dyer

Speaking of Kieron Dyer, the 33-cap England international also represented both Newcastle and West Ham during his playing career before retiring in 2013. The Magpies paid £6 million to bring the teenage Dyer from Ipswich Town in 1999, and the pacey attacking-midfielder became a pivotal part of Sir Bobby Robson's Champions League side.
Scoring 23 goals in 190 league appearances between 1999 and 2007 for Newcastle, Dyer formed an effective partnership with the likes of Nobby Solano, Gary Speed, Laurent Robert and Craig Bellamy - with opposition defences terrified of the Magpies' attacking unit. Dyer left Newcastle for West Ham in 2007 and, as his career became more and more hampered by injuries, he made just 30 appearances during four years in East London.
