5. Your Club Will Disband Your Singing Section And Suck The Atmosphere Out Of St James' Park
There was a time when the whole of St James' Park was classed as the singing section. Then, a designated area was created. Then, that was disbanded. Then, clamours for another to be created were rejected by the club. So the club have stopped fans creating an atmosphere in their own stadium. Most have took it upon themselves to gather in Strawberry Corner to try and rally the troops so to speak, but the whole situation the 'business' finds itself in makes things too difficult to get people to open their mouthes. Everyone inside St James' Park on a match day is on a downer these days. All you have to do is look at the likes of Crystal Palace and the success of their singing section and question why Newcastle United aren't utilising a similar tactic. I'm sure you'll agree that you never get fed up of hearing 'Is this a library?' bellowing down from the away support...
