20 Best Rangers Players Of The Modern Era

18. Kenny Miller

In the Summer of 2014, then-manager Ally McCoist felt re-uniting the previously illustrious strike duo of Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller would be a surefire way to help Rangers win the Scottish Championship and thus promotion into the top flight. Sadly for both he and fans, it didn't work out that way, but Miller perhaps contributed far more than his previously free scoring partner up front. This current spell is Miller's third at Ibrox, having also played for Rangers right at the turn of the millennium and from 2008-2011. His previous 3 year run yielded 49 goals in 81 appearances, which is a clear sign that he was on fire, and whilst only 7 goals came his way during his latest season, his hard work is plan to see just by watching matches. Kenny Miller may be short of the electric pace which was once his trademark, but he has shown he's still willing to put a shift in, a trait that has always endeared him to Rangers fans. Better yet, he's an experienced head in the dressing room, one which can surely help the Gers kick on in the coming campaign, as they look to finally reach the top division in Scottish football once again.
