Steven Naismith may represent the most eye-opening inclusion on this list, given that the man has went on to become a stalwart in the Everton side that sits nicely in the mid-table regions of the Barclays Premier League, but the fact of the matter is that he's not exactly welcome around Ibrox these days, mainly due to the way in which he left Glasgow Rangers. Deciding not to sign a fresh contract with the Glasgow club following administration and eventual liquidation of the business holding that governed the club, Naismith is viewed as a player who turned his back on Rangers when the Scottish institution needed him most. A lot of this resentment stems from the fact that Rangers had shown great patience with the striker, nursing him through injuries without a second thought. During his 5 years as a Rangers player from 2007-2012, Naismith spent a lot of time on the treatment table. In 98 games, he found the net 28 times, which isn't exactly an incredible amount, but he was cherished by the Ibrox faithful as someone who could be counted on. Instead of signing a new deal and getting Rangers a transfer fee from Everton, he simply went for free, saying he didn't want to play in the Third Division. Talk about loyalty, Rangers must wish they'd never bothered.
