20 Reasons Why Spurs Fans Are Jealous Of Arsenal
19. Even Spurs Players Want To Be Red
A lack of recent success isn’t the only ammunition for Gunners fans to taunt their arch rivals, though, after a recent blunder saw Spurs and England man Danny Rose catapulted with pelters after he turned out for the final home game of 2014/15 with his hair dyed red – the colour infamously synonymous with the more successful North London club.
Rose quickly suggested his hair had meant to go purple but that didn’t’ stop him becoming the latest figure of ridicule across social media, with multiple memes being produced at the left-back’s expense.
Perhaps the most alarming part of the kerfuffle for Tottenham is that this only became such a huge story due to the club’s lack of involvement in the race for Champions League. Had Spurs been fighting for a top four finish then the Rose situation would have been far less severe.
As it is, ‘Rosegate’ is just another reason to leave Spurs fans feeling red.
