30 Football Cliches That Badly Need To Die

12. Good Feet For A Big Man

You might have expected this cliche to be higher up the list, but as Peter Crouch has slowly fallen out of the national side's plans, and because it didn't really work out ready-made replacement Andy Carroll, so this cliche has fallen a few paces behind the pack. For this we should be thankful, for it's pretty rotten to assume that anyone who stands above 6'3" has the foot maneuverability of a wonky-toed pigeon. Of course, Crouchy hit back against the bullies with that sumptuous volley against Manchester City. Throw in the fact that magical Zlatan is only two inches shorter than Crouch, and it's clear that being tall and lean needn't stop you being a goal machine.
