4. Arsenal vs Spurs - North London Derby
Arsenal - Tottenham. No longer a gulf in class here. Two teams, similar goals. Where the Premier League use to be a four-horse race, this tie was deemed as nothing more than bitter rivalry from two neighbouring parts of North London. How that has changed over the past few seasons. With Arsenal surrendering their supremacy as the leagues leading dogs, Redknapp worked his magic once again and moulded Tottenham into a real European side, even reaching the last eight of the UEFA Champions League in the 10/11 season. No doubt Villa-Boas will maintain this continuous progress. Where Arsenal have slipped in the domestic league, Tottenham have rose. This clash is no longer the battle for bragging rights, but each fixture is now treated as one of those intense six-pointers for the fourth place Champions League spot. To add fire to the fuel, Arsenal fans celebrate each season the infamous St. Totteringham's Day, a day of celebration whereby Tottenham can no longer finish above Arsenal mathematically. How this had changed. I'm sure this is now treated as a day of relief as opposed to a day of celebration. We all remember the sudden bout of food poisoning the Spurs players were affected with on the last game of the season in the 05/06 season.
