When Emmanuel Adebayor moved from Arsenal to cash-rich Manchester City in 2009 for a reported fee of £26 million, many Arsenal fans were angered by what they saw as simply a money-grabbing move from the forward.

Incensed Gooners gave Adebayor plenty of abuse when he left North London, and that abuse was delivered ten-fold when Arsenal when to The Etihad that season.

After being booed and slated throughout the entire game, Adebayor not only scored in City's 4-2 win - he sprinted the entire length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal supporters. It was a ballsy move, for sure, but the former Monaco man had a point to prove to those fans that had turned on him.

As revenge goes, Adebayor certainly had the last laugh on that day.

Just watching the Togo striker's celebration was enough to leave the majority of us out of breath.

If Arsenal are still on the hunt for a new striker, of course, 35-year-old Emmanuel Adebayor is currently a free agent searching for his next club...
