5 NFL Quarterbacks Who Will Improve In 2017 (And 5 Who Won't)

Russell Wilson is one of the most maligned figures in the NFL today. Many have accused him of being nothing more than a game manager who gets carried by his team's almighty defense and powerful rushing attack.

While it's true that the Legion of Boom has done its share of heavy lifting and the team does have a preference for ground based offense, Wilson is one of the league's standout quarterbacks when he's in the zone. Unfortunately, like Eli Manning, the Seahawks aren't giving him much chance to find that zone.

In 2016, the Seattle Seahawks boasted one of the league's worst offensive lines and they don't seem particularly interested in improving it. Their big offseason move in that department has been to sign all-time bust Luke Joeckel and they did almost nothing towards fixing it in the draft. Good offensive line play is essential to the Seahawks' game plan.

Without it, they can't get their run game started and Wilson will get hunted by defenders on every play. He's the one who suffers because of this dud they're rolling out and he has little-to-no chance of excelling if he can't obtain some modicum of protection.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
