1. Alfredo Di Stefano
A player that we've all heard of even though he featured way before we were even born, let alone followed football. Di Stefano was dubbed the greatest player ever by Pele himself, during his time with Real Madrid he achieved huge success and arguably helped build them into the massive club they are today. Di Stefano appeared for three, yes three, national sides but failed to feature at a World Cup with any of them! After first appearing for Colombia, Di Stefano switched to Argentina but they failed to reach the 1950 World Cup. In 1954, he was deemed ineligible after turning out for two international sides. He gained Spanish citizenship and changed his allegiance once more but Spain failed to qualify for the 1958 World Cup. When the tournament came round again in 1962, Di Stefano was injured. Hard luck Alfredo.
