If the current West Ham boss had written this list, he'd be somewhere near the top of the other side of his list. The shameless self-promotionalist with an ego as big as his head was always his own biggest fan, and recently claimed he would now be at a big club if he hadn't seen his chances ruined by circumstances at Newcastle. In reality, the circumstances that got in the way of his progression to being the greatest living English manager, and taking Real Madrid to Champions Leagues at a canter is that he's just not a very good manager. Or at least he wasn't at Newcastle. He played reductive, boring football, signed cloggers on massive wages and generally sulked around acting like he had been fired well before the axe ever swung because of Mike Ashley's take-over. Under Freddie Shepherd, he'd been told he was the man to make Newcastle a top four team again, but he tried his level best to make sure the team was camped at the other end of the table entirely. Still, at least he took his dismissal with good grace...
