6 Current Newcastle Players Who Would Have Been Keegan's Entertainers
2. Super Mitro
Some may argue that powerful Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic has been too hit-and-miss to make it into such a squad, but if there's one thing that Keegan liked, it was a target man. Although he doesn't exactly appear to have the clinical striker's instinct of a certain Alan Shearer, Mitrovic isn't shy of putting himself about. Add to that his impressive heading ability and you have the potential of a Shearer/Ferdinand-esque front man. There is clearly fire in his belly - a bit too much at the start of the season - but it can't go unnoticed that his hold up play turned a shambolic Newcastle United performance against Everton into an attacking force against a relatively poor West Brom side. If he can gain some confidence in front of goal, then his presence can propel the Toon Army up the table. With the free-flowing football on offer in the first Keegan era, it wouldn't have taken long for the net to be bulging with the 21 year old around.
