It may be a bit early in the day to be adding Andros Townsend to this list, but his direct style of play against West Brom mimicked Keith Gillespie back in the day. Always looking to take on the defender and running at them with pace, the new signing from Tottenham would have provided the attacking threat a Shearer or Ferdinand (and possibly the next addition to this list) would have thrived on.
