6 Ways Pep Guardiola Will Turn Bayern Munich Into A Merciless Machine

4. A Star Is Born

Guardiola deserves every plaudit he receives. Why? The man dubbed the greatest footballer of all-time, Lionel Messi's meteoric rise was during the management of Pep. This may seem like an outlandish statement, but the implementation of the tiki-taka style was the key to the success of Messi. It was also the key to Barcelona's recent dominance in European football and, despite the La Liga title that Barca are likely to win this season, they seem to be a shadow of the side that many were claiming to be unstoppable. After an unprecedented haul of 13 trophies the former-Barcelona man announced he would be leaving the club after his four-year stint. Lionel Messi was clearly emotional and disheartened by the news, responding to the announcement on his Facebook page,

"I wholeheartedly thank Pep for how much he has done for my personal and professional career. Because of the emotion I feel, I chose not to attend the press conference. I wanted to be away from the press."
So, is the impending execution of Guardiola's famous style going to see a similar effect? Can one of the existing Bayern startlets step up to the plate and show similar improvements? It'll be interesting to see if Pep can achieve a similar level of success in his upcoming tenure.
