8 Best Beards In Football History

4. Joe Ledley

The Welsh International is a man who can be easily respected, and not just because of his awesome beard. He may not be the most talented footballer, but his performances on the pitch for club and country highlight his overall commitment to the game. If only the current England squad showed the same passion as the Welsh lad, perhaps the Iceland debacle would never of happened, but I digress.

At the end of the 15/16 season Ledley broke his leg in a game against Stoke, figuratively ruling him out of the Euro's. However, he made a speedy recovery to help Wales reach the semi finals. This meaning that Joe Ledley, is hard as nails!

Sporting a wild beard that just keeps growing and growing, Ledley makes a mean figure to face in any midfield battle. In fact, if he put on a pair of jeans and red flannel shirt, he could easily be mistaken for a lumberjack. His commitment on the pitch further transcends to commitment to his beard.
