8 Dream Fights For Jon Jones As A UFC Heavyweight

7. Stipe Miocic

The greatest light heavyweight of all time versus the greatest heavyweight of all time, it really doesn't get much bigger than the spectacle a fight between Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones would bring to the Octagon. In a matchup that could be said to determine the UFC's greatest ever fighter full stop, this dream bout offers a delicious platter of striking, stamina, power and two legacies no-one expected would come into contact.

Born in Ohio, Miocic's climb in MMA has seen success most will never achieve. With a 20-3 record, the two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion holds the record for the most consecutive title defences in the division (three), along with nine fight-night bonuses, the most achieved by a UFC heavyweight. Stylistically, a clash with Jones would see two high-level, technical boxers exchange blows in what could easily become a five-round war inside the cage. With both possessing elite level wrestling if needed, the fight could quickly become a battle between Stipe's aggressive boxing and Jones' unorthodox attacks and kicking style.

As of now, it appears the route to this dream fight will be dependant on if Miocic can defeat Francis Ngannou for a second time. If he does, Jones would appear to be next in line barring any external incidents or failed negotiations with the UFC (cough*give Jones the money he wants*cough).
