8 Frank Lampard Goals Chelsea Fans Will Never Forget

5. Bolton Wanderers 0 Chelsea 2, Reebok Stadium: April 30, 2005

After a 50-year wait to win the title, it was fitting that one of the best players ever to have worn the shirt scored the goals that helped Chelsea become champions once again. It was Jose Mourinho€™s first season in the Premier League and by the end of April, Chelsea had already been crowned champions. At the Reebok Stadium, Frank Lampard scored a brace, securing the title and bringing glory back to the Bridge following a disappointing season the year before. It was his second of the game though that most will remember though. Breaking away from the rest of the field, Lampard rounded Jussi Jaaskelainen to score and send the away fans into ecstasy, confirming Chelsea as Premier League Champions by a staggering 12 points. The Blues had blown away every other team during the 04/05 season, setting several records and announcing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the future. That year also confirmed what many already knew about Lampard and his ability on the field, earning him several awards including 2005 Footballer of the Year and a second place finish in the Ballon d'Or. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJPRLoGFCbo
