2. Erik Lamela's Breakout Performance
Erik Lamela will be given another chance to shine for Spurs in Russia and this could be the game in which he really shows the fans what he can do. The Argentinian attacker has gradually been getting better since his debut, looking less timid and more ambitious in his on-pitch choices and actions and, assuming that trend continues, he should have a very good game against Anzhi. At £30m, expectation is very high regarding Lamela - and it's a lot of pressure to bear on the shoulders of one so young (he's only 21 years old) - and a good performance here could be the confidence boost he needs to really come in to his own. It's testament to Spurs' strength in depth that Lamela isn't already an automatic first choice in the Premier League. I believe that this match could be the one that propels him to becoming exactly that.
