Anzhi vs Spurs: 5 Things We Expect To See

1. Jermain Defoe's Goalscoring Form Continuing

Jermain Defoe will again step in up front for Spurs in cup competition and, given the form he's shown so far (in both the Europa League and, most recently, against Aston Villa in the League Cup), expect him to get on the score-sheet again in Russia. The England hitman looks determined to burn the rule book and oust Spanish superstar signing Roberto Soldado from the first team (or at least join him in it) and, if he continues with the form he's in at the moment, he will surely start to give Andre Villas-Boas something to think about. Defoe seems sharp, enthusiastic and hungrier for goals than ever and that's all you can ask for in a striker. With Emmanuel Adebayor returning to first team training this week, competition for places in Spurs' attack will be hotter than ever and Defoe will surely know that. They were five things we expect to see from Anzhi Vs Spurs. What do you expect to see in this match? Let us know in the comments box below. And please feel free to follow me on Twitter!
