Arsenal 1-3 Bayern Munich - 5 Things We Learned

2. Bayern Munich Could Win The Champions League

Bayern For all Arsenal's frailties and failures, there is a danger that we're not giving Bayern Munich the credit they deserve. Arsenal were inadequate for long swathes of the game last night yet Bayern were their usual industrial, well-oiled cohesive selves as they played their hosts off the park in the first half and could have been out of sight after 45 minutes. Toni Kroos was a constant menace in midfield, Manuel Neuer was his usual composed self, Phillip Lahm marshalled a resolute defence whilst Mario Mandzukic (Not Gomes) added to his imperious haul of 18 goals in 26 games. It's also worth noting that Bayern are romping the Bundesliga and are fifteen points clear at the summit, are undefeated in their last six games and have only conceded once all year. They also reached the Champions League Final last May and there's no reason why they can't emulate that feat this season.
