With a release clause set at around £15m according to reports, the Spaniard, who is said to be upset with his relative lack of first-team opportunities this year, might well move on this window, with Wenger looking for a replacement for contract rebel Walcott. Lopez has been likened with Walcott in the past, though his 18 goals last season out-strip every season the former Saints star has enjoyed at the Emirates, and Arsene Wenger may see the opportunity to sign Lopez as a better option than tying Walcott down to a more expensive contract.
