Arsenal: 10 Things Arsene Wenger Must Achieve Before 2017

3. Change His Philosophy

Arsene Wenger€™s philosophy is to play an attacking style no matter level of the opposition, which is admirable, but not exactly entirely practical. Whilst Arsenal€™s free-flowing football can end in breathtaking goals, with Jack Wilsheres€™s collective team goal awarded goal of the season last year, the team heavily struggled away from home against the top teams, losing to Chelsea (6-0), Liverpool (5-1), Man City (6-3), Everton (3-0) and Man United (1-0).

Most painfully of those defeats was when Wenger's arch-enemy Mourinho frustrated Liverpool after 20 minutes by not allowing the Gunners to get into their groove by keeping the ball and time-wasting.

While they're not back to the Arsenal of old when "One Nil to the Arsenal" rang around Hughbury regularly, there was something of the old grit in the FA Cup comeback against Hull, and they need to start adopting that approach at times, though you suspect Wenger will always resist parking the bus.
