Arsenal: 5 Reasons For Aaron Ramsey's Rise To Prominence

5. He Has Been Injury Free

One of the main problems the Welshman has had to put up with in his short career is injury, and most notably, fracturing his right tibia and fibula as a result of a hefty challenge from Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross back in February 2010. Gunners fans feared the worst, having already seen another Arsenal career virtually ended when Eduardo da Silva had his leg broken by Birmingham City's Martin Taylor, and when Ramsey made his comeback after nine months of recovery, he looked to be a shadow of the player he should have been. Since then however, the midfielder has gone from strength to strength, proving to be a snip at the £5 million price tag that the Gunners paid for him back in 2008. The player at the time was being chased by several clubs, but chose the Gunners for the chance to work with Wenger, and with the care he received from the club during his rehabilitation, he now appears to be paying them back for their commitment and trust in him, and looks as though he can become a first team fixture for many years to come.
