1. No Trophies!
When it comes down to it, results matter in football. While I generally believe that clubs should show a little more loyalty to their managers instead of discarding them like yesterdays newspapers, I think the Arsenal board has shown a little too much loyalty to Wenger. From 1996 to 2005, he won Arsenal 11 trophies a remarkable achievement. But the cold, hard, truth now is that from 2005 to the present, there is nothing to be shown for Arsenals efforts. They possess the talent to win trophies, but when it has really mattered, they have just failed to do so, and one has to question the players confidence in their manager, as well as Wengers confidence in himself. Arsenal find themselves declining on a steady downhill slope, and that is not going to change with Wenger in charge. I admit that a new manager might not guarantee success, but it may well re-invigorate the players enough to start performing better.
