2. Poor Incoming Transfers
Since their FA Cup win in 2005, Arsene Wenger has signed the likes of Nicklas Bendtner, Eduardo, Marouane Chamakh, Sebastian Squillaci and Gervinho. To be fair, Chamakh was free, but the rest cost a considerable amount of money, and never delivered what was expected of them. I was impressed by Wengers transfer action last summer, bringing in Lukas Podolski, Santi Carzola and Olivier Giroud to an Arsenal side that needed to show a lot more threat in attack, especially after selling Van Persie. For their first season in English football, they have all done well, scoring 31 goals between them in the league, and I wont be surprised if we see better performances from them next season, but I dont know if they will ever put Arsenal back into contention for the league title. Has Wenger lost his keen eye to scout out world class talent?
