Arsenal Next Manager: 10 Replacements For Arsene Wenger
7. Roberto Martinez
The Everton boss enjoyed an inordinate amount of goodwill during his time at perennial strugglers Wigan Athletic. Their against-the-odds F.A. Cup victory over moneyed Manchester City in his final season there somehow managed to mask the fact that he actually took the club down into The Championship. Martinez's sides frequently play sumptuous football but are let down by disorganised defending. If he were to make the step up from Everton to Arsenal then maybe he could delegate defensive organisation to the experienced heads of Cech, Kocielny and Mertesacker and focus instead on pretty passing in the final third. Another manager who is not shy to trust young prospects and who inspires loyalty in his players, the Spaniard could be a good fit if he can just sort out the defence, although Arsenal might want to go for someone with more silverware in their trophy cabinet.
