Arsenal Tranfers: 5 Strikers To Target

2. Robert Lewandowski

A lot of Arsenal fans will be hoping that Robert Lewandowski is the striker that arrives at the Emirates this January. There is a fair bit of speculation around at the moment to suggest that the Gunners might submit a bid of around £16.75m for the Borussia Dortmund forward. The Polish international is having another excellent season in the Bundesliga with 11 goals from his 15 games. One of the big advantages that Lewandowski has over some of the other options here is that he is more of a proven striker. After scoring 24 league last season, and 22 the season prior to that, Wenger knows that the risk level on this signing would be pretty low. But it remains to be seen how far he is willing to push the boat out in order to get his man. For instance, is he prepared to spend his entire January budget on him? I personally think that he could afford to, because a lack of firepower is the main weak area in the squad. Lewandowski has an average rating of 7.87 and takes 3.9 shots per match.
