Arsenal Tranfers: 5 Strikers To Target

1. Vincent Aboubakar

It€™s always fun to throw in a complete oddball to this sorts of lists, the other four options in this list are much more established forwards than this option. However, we all know that Wenger likes a bit of project when he signs players, which all made Ozil€™s signing in the summer a possible change of direction. Now, Arsenal are in a strong position in the league and know that getting this signing right could secure the title. Therefore, I totally understand the idea that an established forward is the way to go, but going for the odd choice can sometimes work wonders. The great advantage of Vincent Aboubakar is not many people will know a lot about him, which makes him all that more difficult to stop. Aboubakar is certainly having a great season with 11 league goals from 19 games so far; he is playing for FC Lorient in France and may well fancy a move to the Premier League. Aboubakar plays his international football for Cameroon where he has already won 21 caps, but scored just one goal. As far as risky signings go, this is right up there €“ but you can€™t deny that his stats this season are hugely impressive with just 2.6 shots per match. The reason I think this one might happen is because it will appeal to Wenger€™s sense of adventure. There also might be the option to sign Aboubakar alongside another one of the players featured in this list, budget permitting.
