Arsenal Transfers: 4 Signings To Bring Back League Glory

1. Edinson Cavani

After the sale of van Persie in the summer, there remains a huge gap in the Arsenal attack. With Olivier Giroud not yet finding the net consistently, a physical striker capable of scoring at least 20-25 goals a season is very much needed at the Emirates, and though they don't tend to come cheap, there are some options for Wenger. The Gunners have suffered this season from creating plenty of chances but not being able to finish them off, resulting in matches not being won and points needlessly being dropped, and Edinson Cavani, recently linked with Arsenal after Wenger admitted to the Guardian he "liked" the player, would be the perfect man for the job. His tall build and physical presence gives defenders a nightmare to play against and his ability to score spectacular goals has seen him become one of the best strikers in the world. With 25 goals in 23 games in all competitions (as of 18th January) Cavani€™s fine form this season could well have been enough to tempt Arsene Wenger to make a big money move for him, if his comments in the Guardian are anything to go by. A signing of Cavani€™s caliber would guarantee Arsenal a good amount of goals and bring back the fear factor in the Arsenal attack. It would also surely please the fans.
