Arsenal Transfers: 4 Signings To Bring Back League Glory

2. Jesus Navas

Jesus Navas With a very unconvincing Gervinho and out of position Aaron Ramsey I think it€™s fair to say that some of performances we€™ve seen from the Arsenal right wingers this year haven€™t been of the highest of standards. The only exception so far has been Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has continued to impress, and Theo Walcott who apparently only wants to play as a striker - and may now get his wish thanks to his new contract. The Gunners need another option for the wide position; someone whose sole purpose is to work the ball out wide and put good balls into the box, a little like Antonio Valencia at United - blistering pace, fantastic crossing ability and deadly ability on the counter. Providing he can overcome his homesickness, like he did for Spain in the FIFA World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012, Jesus Navas would be a great player whose attributes and style of play could benefit Arsenal in many ways. The Spanish international possesses electrifying pace to go alongside a dribbling prowess that often leaves full backs for dead. Impressively, Navas has over 60 assists for Sevilla, since the 2007/08 season, in all competitions. His qualities have been recognized nationally, as he has racked up 22 appearances for the Spanish national team since 2009, which is impressive, considering the quality and quantity of players in contention for the Spanish first team. Navas is another one linked with a summer move to the club last year, with the Mail suggesting that he was available for around half of his £35million buy-out clause. It remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger would stretch to £17.5m in January, but he would be getting a player of some quality. Source:MailOnline.
