Another out-of-favour player Arsenal could poach from Real Madrid is centreback Raul Albiol, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu in recent seasons. The Spaniard has been restricted to just 6 starts and 13 appearances for Jose Mourinho's side this season and has found himself cast further still onto the fringes by the emergence of Raphael Varane. believed to be in the market for the defender, who is desperate to leave Madrid in order to resurrect his career. The 27-year old is said to want regular football which Arsenal could definitely cater for. The Gunners need an experienced centre-half and performances from the likes of Per Mertesacker and Thomas Vermaelen have at times been sporadic. The Spanish international would join compatriots Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and Nacho Monreal were he to move to the Emirates.
