Arsenal Transfers: 6 Strikers Wenger Must Consider Before Deadline

6. Miroslav Klose (Lazio)

A Metro report earlier today suggested that Wenger is keen on bringing in German veteran striker Miroslav Klose until the end of the season on a temporary loan deal from Lazio. The 33 year old wouldn't represent a good option for the future, given his age, but his experience and his style of play would add something to the Arsenal frontline that current options Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Nicklas Bendtner do not offer. Wenger is certainly light up front, and a large immovable object like Klose would add an entirely different dimension to the team's style of play. He is an uncompromising striker - the kind who would shoot first and ask questions later, and though he is beyond the usually signable age bracket, he will still expected to play a part at the World Cup for Germany this summer. And if the Kallstrom deal does go through it will mark a statement of intent for Wenger that he isn't limited to signing players under the age of 30.
