2. Gus Poyet
Gus Poyet is another player-turned manager
who is being tipped with landing the soon-to-be-vacant Chelsea job in May. Along with David Moyes, the Brighton & Hove Albion supremo is considered one of the early front runners to replace Benitez in May. The former midfielder, who played for both Tottenham and Chelsea throughout his career, would be welcomed back to West London with open arms considering he is still considered a popular figure at Stamford Bridge following his four-year stint at the club, where he won the FA Cup in 2000. As a manager he has achieved a modicum of success, too. He has done a fantastic job at Brighton in the Championship and has transformed them from relegation fodder into a squad now pushing for promotion to the Premier League, and is beginning to cut his teeth in the industry. Much like Roberto Di Matteo, the fan favourite would be considered a popular choice among supporters considering his ties with the club and would bring that "feel good factor" back to Stamford Bridge.
