Chelsea Transfers: 10 Players Screwed By Blues' Ludicrous Transfer Policies

6. Josh McEachran

Big things were expected of young English midfielder Josh McEachran - a player who actually came through the ranks at Chelsea - but after some promising first team showings he has now drifted away from first team action, as foreign signings take precedence over developing talent at almost all of England's top clubs. Though now 21, the player has previously found himself sent out on loan to clubs such as Swansea City, Watford, Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic, with McEachran spending the second half of last season with the Latics in the Championship. McEachran was liked by former Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti during his time as manager at the Blues in 2010, though several managerial changes since have found the youngster struggle to maintain his place in a squad full of big name players. McEachran was once touted as a future England international, but was not mentioned in Jose Mourinho's recent quotes about being a potential international star - unlike three of his young Chelsea companions.
