2. Luis Suarez
If Chelsea do miss out on Wayne Rooney this summer, Liverpool's unsettled striker Luis Suarez could be an alternative striking option.
Sports Direct News report the Uruguayan is being lined up as a back-up option should Manchester United refuse to sell Rooney to a domestic rival. Arsenal have been strongly linked with the 26-year-old and have seen two bids of £30 million and £40 million and £1 rejected so far. Chelsea could capitalise on the Gunner's failure to agree a fee for the striker by entering the race themselves and, while Suarez represents a more expensive option than Rooney, his wage demands are £100,000 less. Suarez was also in better form than the England international last season, and his 23 Premier League goals made him the division's second-highest goalscorer last term. The Liverpool marksman wants to move to a Champions League team and that's certainly something Chelsea could cater for.
