England vs Brazil: 8 Things You Might Have Missed On TV

7. Ballboys Are A-Okay

Ballboy After the furore down at Swansea, the FA showed how a multi-ball ball boy system can work. There was no delay in recycling the ball to the players, only once or twice were two balls thrown on in error and in neither case did this delay match. In fact there was no time wasting at all, except when England went 2-1 up and Joe Hart adjusted the cameras behind the goal (I kid you not) before taking his goal kicks.

6. Advertising All Right And Proper

By both goals were advertisements for a leading England sponsor - they are in effect specially designed mats that, from the TV camera€™s perspective, look right and proper but obviously have to be tailored to suit the angle of the camera shot and the distance. On two occasions a England player ended up scuffing or turning up part of the mat - but have no fear, the FA€™s €˜On field advertising administrative director€™ (which may or may not be his job title) was there to save the day. If only Brazil€™s defenders had reacted as quickly, they might not have lost.
