5. Beware The Neville!
Luis Felipe Scolari was on the touchline quite a bit, but we rarely saw his English counterpart on the sidelines, barking instructions. Instead it was left to assistant Gary Neville to shout at his friends/former adversaries. Having seen the Neviller on TV as a pundit, you can understand why: despite being completely annoying as a player, the man knows the game, and he is also the type to keep shouting at you until you get the point.
4. Penalties Are Still A Problem For England
Whatever Ronaldinho can do, England can do worse. No, not the players, Im talking about the lucky fans/sponsors relatives who get to take penalties or, in this case, put the ball from the zero in 150 (its the FAs 150th anniversary) and consistently balls it up. These people arent just picked from the stands, they know they will be doing this weeks in advance, so youd think they might practice a little! Still, blazing a penalty over the bar is better than the little Herbert who, having been the first to put the ball through the hole after what felt like three hours, unzipped his top to reveal a message he had scrawled on his shirt. I dont know what it said so Im going to assume it was something wholly inappropriate and idiotic.
