Having waited so long for Ashley Cole to finally give up the left back berth for England its highly unlikely that Baines will relinquish this spot before 2016. Baines has 28 caps to his name and will have turned 30 by the time the tournament starts so should add some experience to the England side. With a dangerous left foot, Baines adds some real quality to Englands final third with excellent delivery and is a strong threat from free kicks. Luke Shaw is an obvious challenger to Baines however, I feel Baines will edge out the youngster and retain his place throughout the remaining qualifiers and the tournament itself.
