Everton 1-1 Arsenal: 5 Things the Gunners Learned

1. Pressure's On, Wenger

Arsene Wenger is one of the best coaches around in the unforgiving world of football, and he remains one of the best coaches in identifying and nurturing young talents. He has seldom cracked under pressure and in the face of intense media scrutiny, and he has not failed to deliver on his promise of keeping Arsenal a competitive club in Europe. He of all people must know that recent results have been unacceptable to a club of Arsenal's stature, and he must now find it within himself and the team to rise to the occasion and quell the naysayers. The pressure is more suffocating than ever, and Arsene Wenger knows that even for a manager of his pedigree and dedication that his position as head coach is not infallible. The day that Wenger departs from Arsenal would be a very sad day indeed, but I do not wish his ignominious exit from a club that he has given so much to. Theo Walcott's contract saga will probably determine Wenger's success in both the short and long term future.
