5. Arsenal Did Not Deserve The Draw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwgeUh4F-ls It was a hard fought draw at Goodison Park, but Everton probably deserved to go home with all 3 points in the bag. Arsenal looked vulnerable on the break, created less chances, and were wasteful in possession. Arsenal were lucky not to have a penalty awarded against them when Mikel Arteta upended Steven Pienaar in the box, and that Everton were not incisive enough to convert all the chances that they created on the break. Wojciech Szczesny had a couple of point blank saves that kept Arsenal in the game, but his heroics alone was not enough for the Gunners to come away with a win against a Moyes side that is sculpting Goodison Park into a footballing fortress. Arsene Wenger is rightly satisfied with having come away with a point, but that is clearly not something the team should aspire toward. It seems only a fortnight ago when Arsenal annihilated the Toffees 1-6 in their 2009 season opener. Arsenal need to regroup, reshape, and come out firing on all cylinders against Swansea on Saturday.
