Everton 3-3 Liverpool: Player Ratings

Liverpool

Simon Mignolet: Several fine stops from Lukaku and Barkley, but like Howard beaten three times. Not at fault though and the fact Mignolet was the busier of the two keepers compels us to give him a higher rating. 6/10.

Glen Johnson: Played himself into trouble up on a couple of occasions and seldom followed Pienaar infield. Lukaku got up ahead of him for third Everton goal. 5/10. Martin Skrtel: Should have imposed himself more at set plays. Shackled Lukaku well in first half, but then he could not handle the Belgian striker's movement. 4.5/10. Daniel Agger: Won early battles with Lukaku, but like Skrtel when he became to run the channels and in behind the Dane was not always alert to the danger. 4.5/10. Jon Flanagan: Justified his selection at left back ahead of Aly Cissokho with Jose Enrique injured. Much better showing from youngster than when Rodgers blooded him against Arsenal. Best of a bad bunch in defence today. 5.5/10. Steven Gerrard: Two corner kicks lead to goals. Still has quality to offer even though years of racing forward have gone. Kop Idol was up for this today and played cleverly. 6.5/10. Lucas Leiva: Booked for persistent fouling, but that's an occupational hazard for the Brazilian holding player. Did little to contain Barkley in first half, but handled him better after the break. Subbed. 5.5/10.
