Having been given an
8 year contract after an impressive first season in the job, you would have thought that Alan Pardew was in one of the safest seats in the Premier League. But if Moyes were to become available, Mike Ashley may be tempted to pay off his current employer, especially with the Toon Army struggling to hit the heights of last season. Newcastle have a huge fan base, excellent infrastructure and are not short of a bob or two. All would appeal to Moyes in his quest for that elusive first trophy, and Ashley would have him believe that a Top 4 place is achievable if he were to take the reins. It may be seen by many as a sidestep if Moyes were to make the move, but while Everton are hindered with their dated stadium and lack of investment, Newcastle have quite the opposite.
