It has been mooted that Fergie himself will have a big say in who takes over, and he is known to be a long term admirer of the steely scot - perhaps he sees something of himself in Moyes? The question mark that may possibly hang over Moyes is that he is untried when it comes to managing a footballing world power, but that could be said for nearly all modern day managers. Is the job too big for him? Well he would certainly not have a problem managing big name players and his reputation in the game would command respect in the dressing room. If Ferguson was to remain in an advisory role, it could be a seamless transition for Moyes and United may reap the rewards of employing a man who could be viewed as a Fergie clone.
