5. Younes Belhanda
According to
French paper L'Equipe, one man on Everton's list is Montpellier playmaker Younes Belhanda. The Moroccan enjoyed a sparkling campaign with Montpellier in 2011/12 as his side unexpectedly triumphed in Ligue 1, and although his teammates haven't hit the same heights this time around Belhanda has continued his fine form, bagging six goals as well as impressing in Europe. Everton can often suffer from a lack of creativity in the final third, relying more on Marouane Fellaini's brute power, overlapping full-backs, strong wing play and the predatory finishing of Nikita Jelavic to score goals. Adding the tricky playmaker to their squad would give the Toffee's another dimension and hopefully re-ignite the form of Jelavic who has struggled for goals recently. Slotting in behind the striker Belhanda would bring great technique and fantastic vision which could be the boost Everton need to secure that final Champions League spot. Both Tottenham and Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the 22-year-old but if David Moyes can promise him regular first team football then Belhanda may turn down a move to the capital. Spurs have already agreed the signing of Lewis Holtby who will join this summer and Arsenal have the fantastic Santi Cazorla occupying the attacking midfield berth. Belhanda could find himself spending some time on the bench with a move to London.
