Everton Transfers: 5 Signings David Moyes Must Make To Crack The Top 4

4. Etienne Capoue

Another man from France who Everton are reportedly eyeing is Toulouse's Etienne Capoue. The Frenchman is a strong defensive midfielder who also possesses an eye for a pinpoint diagonal ball from deep. Standing at 6"2 Capoue provides some ariel presence in the centre of the park as well as an advantage at both attacking and defensive set pieces. The caveat with this deal is that Capoue is being reported as a replacement for the possibly outgoing Fellaini. If Everton are to the let the Belgian go it would be a massive blow to their Champions League aspirations and as fine a player as Capoue may be he won't bring the same goal threat or volume of assists which Fellaini has added to his game this season. Moyes should be looking at Capoue as more of a replacement for the aging Phil Neville - who is still remarkably one of his first choice midfielders. Capoue would slot in well alongside either Leon Osman or Darren Gibson and still allow Fellaini to operate higher up the pitch. This is the kind of ambition the Toffee's need to show if they are to make it into the top four. Source: The Sun
