3. Alessandro Pistone
Italian fullback Alessandro Pistone was a regular fixture in the Everton rear guard during their Champions League-qualifying season, but hes another player whose time at Goodison was marred by injuries. The former Newcastle defender made a handful of appearances the following season before heading for the exit. Unsuccessful trials at Middlesbrough and Watford came next, and the dregs of his playing career were in Belgium with RAEC Mons. Neither Boro nor Watford took a gamble on him due to his injury record, but these days, Pistone plies his trade as a professional poker player. Hes made numerous appearances on the Italian Poker Circuit, and participated in the eighth Annual Night of Aces event in 2010. The 40-year-old also runs a restaurant in Piacenza, which specialises in Piadina.
